More than 1 in 5 school children in England experience frequent bullying, according to research by the Anti-Bullying Alliance and Goldsmiths, University of London. The study of nearly 45,000 pupils found 23% face regular in-person bullying, rising to 29% among children with special educational needs or disabilities and those receiving free school meals. The findings highlight significant inequalities in bullying experiences. Researchers stress the urgent need for government action to ensure safe and supportive environments for all children.
