Launched in 2016, SchoolTV now supports over 1,000 schools across Australia, New Zealand and the UK. It offers a library of topics, featuring insights from over 150 leading specialists worldwide. Resources are drawn from key organisations, ensuring reliable, on-demand guidance tailored to real-life family and school needs.

How do I access SchoolTV?

Your school will advise you how to access the SchoolTV platform once it is officially launched to the whole community. It is recommended that schools place the platform in easy to find, high-visibility locations such as the school website homepage, parent portal, staff portal and learning management system.

The platform is mobile friendly, so you can explore it on smartphones or tablets, which is ideal for busy people.

SchoolTV operates as an external platform, regardless of whether it is accessed via your school’s website, parent portal or staff portal. Content is designed to be viewed anonymously, providing a safe and trusted space where members of the school community can seek guidance and support with confidence and peace of mind.

Can my school see what content I view on SchoolTV?

Content

No. Schools cannot see what individual members of the school community view on SchoolTV.

SchoolTV does not track or report individual viewing behaviours to schools.

Any usage data collected is de-identified and aggregated, meaning it is used only to understand overall engagement or to improve the platform, not to monitor individual activity.

This ensures families and staff can explore topics freely and confidently, knowing their personal viewing choices remain private.

What are “Get Alerts” and do I need to sign up?

Content

“Get Alerts” is an optional feature that helps you stay informed when new SchoolTV content is released. 

Sign up using the Get Alerts button located within any SchoolTV topic. By signing up, you will receive an email notification when a new topic becomes available. This is particularly helpful for keeping up-to-date with emerging issues, digital trends or seasonal wellbeing topics.

Signing up is entirely voluntary. You can still access all SchoolTV content without subscribing to “Get Alerts”. Should you sign up, your email address is used only to send these notifications and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Your school does not receive information about who has signed up for “Get Alerts”, and your individual engagement remains private.

What are KEYpoints Flyers and where do I find them?

KEYpoints flyers provide practical takeaways and strategies to support conversations with your child or adolescent about the topic you are viewing.

Each topic offers a KEYpoints flyer which is located at the bottom of a Special Report under Additional Resources, or in the right-hand column of an Edition under Additional Assets.

You can download a copy of the KEYpoints flyer in your preferred language using the built-in translation tools located in the top left-hand corner of the webpage.

KEYpoints flyers are designed to foster connection, support understanding of young people’s concerns, and help adult carers respond appropriately as an important first step towards effective early intervention and prevention.

Are surveys and polls private?

Content

Yes. All surveys and polls on SchoolTV are anonymous and private.

Responses cannot be linked to individual parents, carers or staff. Results are reported only in aggregated form to help inform content development and improve the platform. No personal or sensitive information is shared with schools, and individual responses are never visible. This allows families and staff to participate honestly and confidently, knowing their privacy is protected.

SchoolTV covers a broad range of issues relevant to children aged 3 to 18, with new content added regularly to reflect current research.

Can I watch SchoolTV videos with a child or adolescent?

Does SchoolTV support multiple languages?

Content

Yes. SchoolTV is designed to be inclusive for diverse families and staff. Written content, including the KEYpoint flyers, can be translated into more than 60 languages using built-in tools. Video interviews are currently available in English, Russian, French, Spanish, Hindi, Chinese and Arabic, with additional languages planned for release in 2026.

How often is content released?

At least one new topic is released every month from February to November, giving you a minimum of 10 new topics each year. Occasionally, more topics are published in response to emerging issues. This ensures you always have access to the latest evidence-based insights on child and youth wellbeing.
