As a SchoolTV Administrator, you play a vital role in supporting wellbeing across your school community. A strong understanding of the SchoolTV platform will enable you to work effectively with the wider Administrator team to support the launch or relaunch of SchoolTV, promote content to build awareness and sustain engagement over time.

This induction is designed to be quick, clear and practical, providing a solid understanding of your role and responsibilities as an active member of the Administrator team and equipping you to support confident, consistent implementation across the school.

Explore Your SchoolTV Platform (10-15 minutes)

Goal: 
Gain a clear working knowledge of your school’s platform, including its extensive library of topics, related resources and other features that support parents, carers and staff including multilingual written and video content.

Actions to complete:

▢ Locate and note the main access points to the SchoolTV platform (e.g. the school website, parent and staff portals, or your LMS) so you can confidently direct parents and staff to it.

▢ Access your SchoolTV library of topics and select one example Edition to review its main components, including:

Video interviews

Contributors for the Edition

Topic Resources such as articles, fact sheets, books, websites, apps, podcasts and other videos

School Contacts

Get Alerts

KEYpoints Flyer

Multilingual features

▢ Now, return to the library of topics and select one example Special Report to review its main components, including:

Video of the report

Explore the Dashboard (10-15 minutes)

Goal: 
The Dashboard serves as the central hub for managing your SchoolTV platform Completing the actions below will help you confidently navigate the Dashboard and access the key tools and resources that support your role as a SchoolTV Administrator.

Actions to complete:

▢ Log in to the SchoolTV Dashboard using the Admin Login button located at the top or bottom of your SchoolTV webpage.

▢ Select the Wellbeing Planner tile and complete the following:

Review the scheduled topics in the calendar and familiarise yourself with the colour-coded legend

Download a copy of the Topic Calendar using the button located in the top-right corner

Print a copy to keep as a reference for upcoming topics

▢ Familiarise yourself with all Dashboard tiles.

▢ Within the Marketing & Promotions tile, select the Staff Toolkit and complete the following:

Familiarise yourself with the staff focused webpage content using the navigation buttons.

Watch the staff introductory video

Download the FAQ handout in your preferred language, ready to share with staff.

Review and download the Maximising SchoolTV Impact flyers to share with School Leaders, Educators, and Wellbeing & Counselling Staff.

▢ Next, select the Parents & Carers Toolkit and complete the following:

Familiarise yourself with the parent and carer focused webpage content, including the social media tiles, which can be used with the accompanying blurbs.

Download the FAQ handout in your preferred language, ready to share with parents and carers.

Review and download the Maximising SchoolTV Impact flyer to share with parents and carers.

 

Tip: If the function of any tile is unclear, please refer to the How-to Videos available on the Dashboard.

Strengthen staff capacity and consistency

Provide staff with expert-led, globally informed content and resources, ensuring they have trusted guidance and can deliver consistent wellbeing support to families navigating the challenges of raising young people today.

Support school–family partnerships

Use SchoolTV to communicate credible, evidence-based wellbeing information that builds the mental health literacy of parents and carers, meets expectations for guidance and strengthens trust between the school and families.

Promote student wellbeing and achievement

Use preventative and proactive strategies from SchoolTV content across the school community to embed a culture of wellbeing that helps students thrive socially, emotionally and academically.
